Heiluva Häntä (Wagging Tail in English) is a Dog and Cat School, that offers both classes and private lessons for dog and cat owners. For English speaking customers it is usually easier to attend private lessons and behavior consultation than Finnish speaking classes, but we have also had English speaking customers in our smaller classes. Ask if You have some of our classes in mind, if we can fit you and your pet!
We offer both everyday obedience skills and problem solving for dog- and cat-owners and activation classes like Rally Obedience and Obedience, Tracking and Contact and Self-control classes for dogs. For cats we have also activation lessons one cat at a time: you can train for example cat-agility, cat-obedience and many tricks.
We offer problem solving for both cats and dogs for various kinds of problems: for dogs for example aggression and recall problems, leash pulling, staying alone at home, chasing live-stock or other problems in everyday life. For cats for example being too loud, peeing where not suitable, aggression towards other pets or humans etc.
In dog aggression problems we can offer you a course with one longer consultation (about 2 hours) and six shorter trainings with two of our workers and our own dogs if needed on Thursday evenings or/and Saturday afternoons with the cost of 190 euros.
For consultation and every day obedience, Rally-Obedience or Obedience training we can offer time usually Tuesdays to Fridays every day between 12-17 or Saturday mornings or Friday evenings either in our own Dog and Cat School premises in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki, Höyläämötie 18 C or in your own home by appointment basis.

For cat customers we offer also training time for activation in our Dog and Cat School Premises in Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings or Tuesday to Friday before 5 pm for the cost of all together 5 times ½ hour trainings with 60 euros!
All the training methods are based on positive reinforcing and science-related methods and studies. We never use physical punishment, as they are not the most human or efficient methods to use according to science-based studies or to our own experience.
